ROLE OVERVIEW

The VP of Supply Chain will lead the organization’s supply chain strategy and key initiatives. Primary focus will include building a world-class supply chain system, identifying new areas of strategic opportunity and reducing costs for our franchise partners while leveraging our $43MM in purchasing power. S/he will bring senior executive-level experience overseeing inventory, warehousing, production and distribution of restaurant food and packaging. S/he will manage the Supply Chain team and work closely with franchise partners, vendors, international partners and other internal stakeholders. The VP of Supply Chain will provide expertise on business strategy, brand growth and procurement to achieve company goals while providing data-driven insights to influence decisions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

• Oversee all aspects of procurement, supplier development, sourcing, collaboration and management
• Lead and develop strategies for product sourcing and development, supplier negotiations, and effective inventory management to support menu rollouts and new product implementations
• Partner with external consultants for distribution strategy and planning for international and national initiatives
• Ensure compliance and governance by establishing, monitoring and achieving cost-savings performance measures.
• Implement cost effective technologies to increase transactional efficiencies and decrease overall costs
• Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to ensure we have a competitive edge in the industry and the lowest delivery cost to all Bonchon Franchise US restaurants leveraging our global supply chain
• Create and develop departmental strategies for all product categories (e.g., poultry, sauces, etc.)
• Oversee the creation, issuance, and management of order requests and proposals using appropriate department processes, internal systems, and technology
• Analyze complex data, review negotiated prices and terms, and develop contracting recommendations based on sound judgment, problem solving, and financial analysis
• Partner with Finance during planning and execution, to provide value-added analytical support to enable sound decisions and accurate financial projections
• Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the status of key supplier initiatives and innovation
• Implement warehouse management systems and manage international import/export of goods
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine demand planning, customer service, procurement, supplier management and global logistics
• Develop forecasting, inventory management and supplier capacity management to ensure optimum and cost-effective product availability
• Lead and develop a productive and engaged team through effective coaching, priority setting, performance management, and talent

SKILLS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 15 or more years of supply chain experience in the restaurant or food and beverage industry is required
• International import experience
• Knowledge of FDA regulations for importing
• Knowledge of Foreign Supplier Verification Program compliance requirements
• PCQI Certification preferred
• 5-10 years of upper level people and project management experience
• BA/BS or BBA in Strategy, Operations Management, or Finance (MBA is preferred)
• Ability to travel 10%
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Aloha and SAP is a plu
