ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, the Buyer/Planner for Bonchon Franchise is responsible for sourcing, inventory planning, and purchasing of raw materials and products. S/he will manage vendors/contracts, inventory, demand forecasting, and market analyses. The ideal candidate must possess a technical knowledge of food and beverage as well as services in the restaurant industry while demonstrating exceptional negotiation skills and business acumen. The Buyer/Planner for Supply Chain will develop a reliable set of suppliers to ensure quality and competitiveness and develop a trusting partnership with Franchise Partners through the achievement of successful inventory sourcing, management, and target achievement.

The Buyer/Planner is a critical thinker with strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills. S/he has grit and thrives in environments with autonomy. S/he is proactive, and results driven with a vast experience in purchasing poultry, perishable products, and sourcing service providers in the restaurant industry. S/he will partner with cross-functional departments including Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Development to service our Franchise Partners and support our Bonchon mission.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan and execute procurement of poultry and perishable products from global suppliers
· Production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries
· Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management for all LTO’s and other products
· Proactively report product and material availability issues
· Maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information in SAP system
· Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm
· Analyze and manage RFPs, Vendor Source list, Quality Assurance tracking
· Cost saving initiatives, Negotiations, Supplier relationship/evaluation
· New Product Launches, LTO’s, and NRO’s.
· Provide support to Customer Service & Sales team when requested
· Complete special projects and assignments as requested

SKILLS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

· 2-3 years of planning and procurement management
· 5+ years of supply chain experience in the restaurant or food and beverage industry (poultry experience is a plus)
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred
· International purchasing and sauce purchasing is a plus
· Strong understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management
· Fast-casual, QSR, multi-unit franchise operations experience preferred
· SAP experience preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Bilingual in Korean/Chinese is a plus
