ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager of Finance will be the key person responsible for all finance related matters, including monitoring Bonchon US KPIs and providing finance-related support to other functional teams, specifically US markets for cross functional projects. Additionally, you will be the key liaison for Franchisees on finance related franchise matters which requires providing active coaching to Franchisees to ensure compliance with Franchise Disclosure Document agreements. The Manager of Finance will communicate effectively and positively to build relationships with cross functional teams and Franchisees working closely with teams based in the US and South Korea.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company
  • Provide monthly business review and ad hoc reports to the senior management on business performance (e.g. P&L variance and sales trend analysis), insights and other related matters to ensure that management team understand the businesses position against operating and financial KPIs, significant impacts on strategies & priorities for US
  • Engage various functional teams on financial matters, suggesting improvements and action plans to management and stakeholders
  • Support annual and quarterly budgeting and business planning process for US, interfacing closely with business partners and other Finance stakeholders
  • Provide Finance support on cross functional initiatives and projects
  • Key liaison for all ongoing Finance related communications with MF partners, including enforcement of franchise compliance with MFA requirements and standards of the business
  • Liaise with external service providers for audit, tax preparation, banking, and other financial needs, as necessary
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the Company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

SKILLS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required
  • CPA is preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance with 2-4 years of Management experience
  • Franchise experience is required
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP), statutory legislations and regulations
  • Relevant working experience in FMCG or F&B industry with excellent understanding of F&B operations and financial performances
  • Proficient user of complex financial systems such as SAP
  • Work with teams from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and time zones–specifically working with teams in Asia Pacific
  • Highly driven with proven record for achieving results
  • Able to work under pressure in fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills
